Why now

Study for the test you can book today.

Nobody can tell you yet what a new test would look like. What you can control is passing the current one, with a plan.

ReportedPlans to modernise the test

A news report says the Home Office plans a digital overhaul of the test and its study materials. We have not seen an official announcement of new questions or a new handbook.

PublicTechnology, 8 January 2026 (opens in a new tab)

Good to knowYou only need to pass once

GOV.UK lists people who have passed the test before as exempt from taking it again.

GOV.UK: Life in the UK Test (opens in a new tab)

FactYou pay each time you sit it

You must book at least 3 days ahead, and a fail means paying again to rebook. Being ready the first time saves money and weeks.

How it works

Everything between “I booked my test” and “I passed”.

1 · A plan that fits your week

You pick the date. We do the planning.

Choose your days and how long you can study. Miss a day and the plan slides forward. Only three weeks left? It starts with what matters most.

  • Built from your test date, your days and your minutes
  • Missed sessions move forward. Nothing is lost
  • Short on time? A tighter plan, not a panic

  • Pick up where you stopped
3 · Practise in ways that stick

Quizzes, cards and mock tests, with the reason behind every answer.

  • 1,060 flashcards that repeat at the right time
  • 18 timed mock tests, the same shape as the real one
  • Say your answers out loud with voice practice

Questions people ask

Is this the official Life in the UK test?

No. NoFuss Pass is an independent study aid. It is not made by or linked to the UK Government or the Home Office. The real test is booked on GOV.UK.

Do I need this for ILR or for citizenship?

Most people who apply for indefinite leave to remain or for British citizenship must pass the test. There are exemptions, for example if you are 65 or over. Check GOV.UK for your own case. General information, not legal advice.

I have heard the test may change. Should I wait?

Nobody can tell you what a new test would look like, and if you have passed once you do not need to take it again. Passing the test you can book today is not wasted.

Do I need an account?

No. When the app launches you will open it and start. Your plan, answers and progress stay on your own device.

Is there a web version?

A web version is coming, along with the Android and iPhone apps. None of them is ready to use yet. Use Get launch news to hear when they are.

What is free, and what is Premium?

When it launches you will be able to start free and try a taste of every feature. The details are on the Pricing page. See Pricing

Can I listen instead of reading?

Yes. Press play and your phone reads the chapter aloud while the words are highlighted. It uses the voice installed on your phone, so the sound depends on your phone.

Will it guarantee that I pass?

No study app can promise that. NoFuss Pass shows how ready you are against the 75% pass mark and tells you what to revise next.

Make your commute, your kitchen and your drive count.

NoFuss Pass is launching soon on Android, iPhone and the web.
